Most single channel amplifiers available in the market are inaccurate and variation could be as big as 20 degrees Celsius, which is equivalent to the difference between a well running engines and a blown engine. Even at the tip of the extreme temperatures of 1832 degrees Fahrenheit, AEM Thermocouple Amplifier has the capability to read over 1% full-scale.
With AEM Thermocouple Amplifier, the temperatures can be measured at coolant or water temperature, air temperature, exhaust gas temperature, fuel temperature; and for road racers or autocross, brake rotor temperature. This 4-channel amplifier gives you the power to read from temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Celsius to about 1000 degrees Celsius. It also allows you to easily connect external data-loggers via the RS-232 port. For additional safety, every unit has a built-in fault indicator to warn you if a sensor used is faulty.
